When I initially transferred to NCC Land, I was unsure of what to expect from the CCA; however, I was pleasantly surprised since it turned out to be a fun and memorable experience. Occasionally, we have Recreational Training where partmates get to have fun together by playing games. I was given the opportunity to join the Free-style Drill (FSD) team. In FSD, we have to plan choreography that matches along to a certain music, usually Electronic Dance Music. Although it is difficult planning choreography, I have definitely enjoyed my time in FSD as I have forged new friendships. Additionally, planning specific formations brings much satisfaction.

NCC Land made me change my perception of CCAs and I ended up liking the CCA a lot, compared to the past few years in primary school when I greatly disliked the CCA sessions. The seniors are patient in teaching us, but can also be strict at times. Despite this, I know it is for our own good. They also plan fun activities such as Scavenger Hunts and Nerf War, alongside letting us play board games such as Risk. Apart from these fun activities, we also undergo physical training to increase our physical fitness. Overall, NCC Land has made me change my perception of CCAs and also shaped me into a better person.

Much like what others have echoed, the NCC Land experience has changed my perceptions of CCAs as a whole. When I was in primary school, I received a lot of scolding from my coach as I was going to represent the school in inter-school competitions. To make matters worse, I never felt like I was good enough, therefore my perception that CCA was a waste of time slowly grew. However, when I entered NCC Land, my CCA experience took a 180 degrees turn for the better. We certainly get punished for subpar standards from time to time, but it is for our personal improvement. We also do a lot of fun things, such as Nerf War. I enjoyed the bonding process with my partmates to face difficulties together.

NCC land was really an eye opener for me. It was really unique and it is a really interesting cca with many activities like Guardians Of The City (GOTC), Risk, Nerf War, orienteering and many more. It also helped to make me a better student by instilling good values in me such as discipline, taking initiative, being punctual etc. Although sometimes the cca might be tough with all the seniors scolding and punishing us, I still enjoyed the process of bonding with my part mates and to be able to get through all the difficulties and challenges as a part. NCC Land has undoubtedly benefited me and brought me and my friends closer. In a nutshell, NCC Land provided me with a whole new experience and allowed me to relax and take a break from all the flurry of academics during schooltime.
